1Rise the brown basmati rice in cold water. Combine rice, water and salt in a heavy bottom pot with a lid and bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat and simmer for 35 min.
2Heat a large heavy skillet over high heat. Add the sesame oil. Toss in the garlic, lemongrass, ginger and the red chili peppers. fry, stirring constantly for about 20 seconds add the pineapple and fry for another 15 second. Add the soy sauce, thai basil and the fluffed brown basmati rice and fry, stirring and tossing, about 2-3 minutes.
3Serve it in a bowl.
