Yogurt Bread with Feta Cheese

Add spinach, mushrooms and pancetta for a different twist on this traditional Bulgarian bread.


1 cup yogurt

4 eggs

15 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

250gr feta cheese

7 tablespoons lard


1Preheat the oven to 350F.

2Whisk the 4 eggs into a homogenous mixture and add them to the yogurt.

3In a mixing bowl combine flour and baking powder. Add flour to the yogurt mix one spoon at the time. Ones it is done add the lard. Mix well and transfer the mixture to a baking pan 11” x 7”, greased and dusted with flour.

4Place it in the oven and bake until a skewer comes out clean, about 25-30 min.
