Tangerines Soaked in Honey and Exotic Spices

Eye stimulating, nose titillating - it's a journey to the exotic land you wanted to explore


6 tangerines

¾ cup honey

2 whole cloves

1 stick cinnamon

1 tablespoon mustard seeds

1 tablespoon coriander seeds

2 whole anises

6 dry hibiscus flowers (optional)


1Pierce the whole tangerines all over with the tip of the knife. Soak in cold water overnight.

2Place them in a heavy bottom pan and all the ingredients, cover wit water and simmer for 1.5-2 hours.

3Remove them from heat. Do not peel. Serve them in addition to duck, any other poultry and red meats.
